Their products are also sold in more than 800 franchised locations worldwide and through an extensive e-commerce platform.

The Amazon Effect continues to recalibrate customer expectations, with most consumers now expecting frictionless online shopping and fast delivery. This accelerated pace doesn’t allow for downtime due to broken equipment, so the customer approached TRG to develop a solution for instant on-site repairs.
On-Site Repair Services for Distribution Centers
This retailer originally became a customer in 2010 when they sought a new partner for faster and more efficient device repairs. They experienced a 50% increase in temporary and seasonal employees who are known for being harsh on equipment—repairs are needed three to four times a week during peak season. Given the frequency of repairs, the customer couldn’t wait for delays caused by shipping.
TRG developed an innovative solution by creating on-site repair facilities at their eight distribution centers, providing technicians to complete repairs on location. This program ultimately saves the customer valuable time and helps maximize efficiency.
Mobile Handheld Computers Provide Accuracy and Efficiency
Distribution centers across the country continue to upgrade their mobile devices and migrate from Windows to Android. Upgrading to higher functioning devices and powerfully secure enterprise-grade OS results in greater speed, accuracy, communication and efficiency.
When this retailer wanted to begin the switch from Windows to Android, they wanted to make order fulfillment quicker, easier and more efficient. In particular, e-commerce orders required streamlined scanning, loading and printing of shipping labels. Mobility was also a priority, both in the distribution center and for their delivery drivers.
TRG advised them to focus on Zebra devices because they are incredibly rugged. The customer settled on the MC9100 thanks to its drop rating and processing power to support next generation mobile applications. The customer later incorporated the MC9200 and the MC9300, later generations of the same mobile device. With Zebra’s complete line of rugged devices, we were able to outfit the customer with handheld mobile computers, tablet computers and vehicle truck mounts that fit the needs of each user.

Dressing rooms feature an interactive fitting room system to assist with communications. Customers can request another size or color by notifying store associates from within the fitting room. These systems integrate with the two-way radios, helping improve customer satisfaction and avoid missed sales.
