TRG Expands Cybersecurity Capabilities with Acquisition of Fentron

CLEVELAND, OH (September 30, 2026) – TRG, a portfolio company of Gemspring Capital and a global managed services provider focused on the full lifecycle of enterprise endpoints, announced today that it has acquired Fentron, a Westerville, Ohio-based cybersecurity and advisory firm. The Fentron team will join Inversion6, TRG’s dedicated cybersecurity division, adding complementary capabilities and senior engineering talent that further strengthen TRG’s integrated cybersecurity offering across the enterprise endpoint lifecycle. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Fentron has built a strong reputation for helping organizations strengthen their security posture. Its capabilities span CISO advisory, ransomware readiness, vulnerability management, incident response preparedness, tabletop exercises, and SIEM integration, serving clients across the financial, manufacturing, government, and healthcare sectors.
