WESTLAKE, OH – February 22, 2016 – TRG, the leading hardware and software solutions provider in the mobile computing and barcoding industry, today announces plans to build a new 12,000 square-foot office building at 19933 Lake Road in Rocky River, Ohio by 2017. The new location will house an expanding application development team and customer support center on the site of Mike’s Lake Road Express gas station.
TRG President Sean Kennedy says the expansion is necessary. “TRG is experiencing tremendous growth. Our current facility on Viking Parkway was supposed to last us five more years, but we are already running out of space. Obviously, unprecedented growth is a good problem to have. This new facility will focus on bolstering our development and customer service and will futureproof support for new customers.”
Ward 3 councilman Michael O’Donnell believes TRG’s new facility will be a positive infrastructure investment. “As the Ward 3 councilman, it is exciting to see a growing technology company expanding its footprint into our city,” O’Donnell says. “TRG’s plan to replace an existing gasoline and service station with a professionally designed office building is well thought out and is a better use of the property on Lake Road. I look forward to welcoming TRG to the neighborhood and continuing to watch it and other businesses in the community grow.”
The Westlake-based business has seen 30% year-over-year growth for the past 10 years and has accounts with major Fortune 500 companies. Starting in an office suite in downtown Cleveland, TRG moved to Clemens Road in Westlake in 2009 before purchasing and moving to their current headquarters on Viking Parkway. TRG has hired 41 new employees over the past year, and forecast to hire as many as 100 more by the end of 2016.
